CIMERON STUD NEWS - added on the 20/05/2011

The 2010 stud season had very mixed emotions at "Cimeron".
The first foal due to arrive was to be anxiously awaited - being the Royalwood Boy Soprano/Hazelmere Yasmin cross. The year before Yasmin had gone 6 weeks overdue and unfortunately had given birth to a black stillborn filly, so when she was 3 weeks overdue this year I had her examined by the vet to establish her situation. On examination the foal was not moving and consequentially she delivered yet another stillborn filly - liver chestnut with lots of chrome.

After all this dissappointment we welcomed an exquisite brown filly o/o Springfield Tiara by Jackets Bluebird (Imp). One of our best foalsso far. This amazing little filly "Cimeron Queen Of Pop" has certainly made up for the loss of 2 stunning fillies from Yasmin.

Our TB mare "Starmarnie" whom we thought was heavily in foal proved not to be. Another dissappointment for the season. Her last foal "Cimeron Jaguar" has been sold to the Faehrman family of S.A. for daughter Stacey as a rider class mount. They are thrilled with him and we could not have asked for a better home. We wish them all the very best of luck for Jet and Stacey's show career together.

"Cimeron Popstar" was leased to Rebecca Peacock, they ended the year on a high note with Popstar gaining the Bronze Medal at HOTY in the highly competitive Small galloway section. He also carried 11yo Sophie Williams to her success in her rider class qualifying for the 2011 Grand Nationals.

"Cimeron Drama Queen" has started her saddle career this year with some very exciting results - with her lovely attitude and temperament - she won at only her 2nd outing "Champion Large Pony Serpentine Gala Hack Day and next outing was Champion Large Pony and went on to beat the seasoned hacks to be awarded the Supreme Ridden of the Show at Harvey Agricultural Show.

"Cimeron Disco Diva" has had only one outing this year for a first in the Open and Reserve Champion Galloway. Again exhibiting amazing attitude and work ethic. Both these girls are doing the Newcomers this season and we are excited at the prospect.

Back in the broodmare paddock we have been extremely lucky to have been offered "Beelo-Bi Raindrop" - dam of our highly decorated "cimeron Angelica"- for the stud season and she has been covered by "Penmain Heir Apparent" for a nice early foal, this baby will be very exciting we think!!

"Springfield Tiara" is back in foal to "Jackets Bluebird(Imp)" fingers crossed for a colt this time. We are looking forward to a brighter stud season with hopefully 2 healthy foals.
